DTN COMMENTS: Cash cattle country is quiet at midday, with bids and
asking prices not established. If the trend of the last several weeks
holds, significant trade volume will likely be delayed until the second
half of the week.
Beef cutouts are mixed at midday (choice 370.00 +2.24, select 364.53 -
0.82) with moderate box movement (53.35 lds of choice cuts, 4.31 lds of
select cuts, 4.17 lds of trim, and 11.88 lds of ground). Near the noon
hour both live and feeder cattle futures are mixed.
